I have driven past this restaurant for over a year without going in. What a mistake. It was the best fried catfish I ever had and the jalapeno shrimp appetizers were delicious. My wife does not like spicy food and they cooked her a special chicken dish that she loved. The live music rocked nad we came back yesterday to watch the game on the big screen- what a great place- thanks!

I absolutely love Frilly’s. It is my all time favorite restaurant, and the staff is exceptional – they know my order as soon as I walk in the door! They are all fantastic, and the atmosphere is great. Food is the best seafood you can get (I recommend the fish tacos), and I just bought a Frilly’s T-shirt to show my appreciation.

I have been living in Denton since September of last year and have been to Frilly’s South several times and always leave with a full stomach and a smile on my face it is the closest thing I have seen to Louisiana Style. Food is awesome today the waiter had me try Gator for the first time. I don’t know how he managed to do that but he did and it was GOOD!!!
Unlike Razoo’s or Joes Crabshack which is chain this is privately owned and not so commercial it really does make a big difference.
I love it.

Having spent over a decade in Louisiana, the Cajun cuisine in DFW can often be mediocre to depressing. As other reviews attest, this place is indeed the real deal… but much more cosmopolitan New Orleans food than Dirty South Louisiana fare (esp. the spicy without the hot). The ambiance reflects this attitude, and the grilled seafood is indeed the best for miles around.
Still, especially when mudbugs are in season, Frilly’s does it right and stands above those other chains. Laissez les bons temps rouler!
